*It was a busy weekend for me.
* My old roommate from SC came up to get married on Saturday. I have only seen her once since I moved back- when they came up for Christmas, so it was nice to be able to catch up amid the busyness!
*We went for dinner and then bowling on Friday night. After which we went back to Janet's in-laws to decorate their house. (She married Scott, son of Billy and Jeanie D).
*The reception was on Saturday. And then Aaron and I went to visit my grandparents. My gramma had surgery to lift her eyelids last week, so she has been confined to her chair. She said she's been bored and I haven't seen them since they got back from the south, so it was time for a visit.
*Last night Amanda and I went to Loretta's shower (Not the weekend, I know, but one more place to go!)
*Tonight I had coffee with Kara and Karen. Once again we spent time reminiscing about the days we lived together. Good times.
*I have the next two days off before working the weekend. Hopefully I'll be motivated to get some things down around here.
*It's fishing time for Aaron. I won't see him much for awhile.
*I have a day of training out of town next week. That will be interesting.
*Put in another order for recent pictures, I'm excited to get those.
*Was thinking about taking a last minute trip on these days off but with gas prices I decided against it.
*Paid off a couple more debts, I'm down to one CC and two student loans, yipee!
*Really excited to have these days off!

As Promised
Here are some of the pictures that I took last night. The dam doesn't usually overflow like this.
I didn't take my tripod, and I really should have but what can you do after the fact?
A few years ago someone taught me how to make water look like it the above picture. At the time I thought that it was better to make it look as you see it. Now I think I've changed my mind.
The trestle from above.

Hammer in the Road
I had never heard of it. In fact, I thought Aaron was pulling my leg when he asked me about it. He said that there is a place in the area that a hammer was paved into the road. I figured it was a local legend. So we headed out to the spot.
Sure enough:
Sure enough:
How funny is that?
This was on our way out to a dam. I'll post pictures of that tomorrow as the water was coming over the top and I took quite a few. But here is a sneak peak.

T came up
I didn't take any snow in April pictures. (Sorry Cari) We didn't get hit nearly as bad as they were saying. In fact, most of it has already melted.
That didn't stop me from worrying about Tommy as he and his friends drove up on Friday. I kept calling him for updates. And then I would apologize for "acting like his mother". LOL What can I say? It looked really bad outside.
They made it safely. Aaron and I went took Tommy out for dinner last night. That was nice. I think he appreciated the chance to have a real meal. Tommy was telling us that when he comes up here the guys don't really worry about eating. There have been times when he has walked to the gas station to buy a frozen pizza just to finally get something... At five o'clock in the evening.
I wonder if this is a guy thing. I seem to remember coming up here for weekends and it was all about what, where and when we were going to eat. Or maybe that was just because I really enjoy food...
T and his friends found an apartment, not too far from the university. I'm sure they will have a blast. I'm excited that he's coming up here. One more family member to see!

Unfortunately
My refrigerator died. And I had tuna fish in there... Have you ever smelt old tuna?
I don't recommend it.
But my landlord is coming over today to figure out what's going on. Hopefully I'll have something working by the end of today. In the meantime, I'm trying to come up with ideas for food that do not have to be refrigerated. Any ideas?

A Bridge
Or The Bridge as we call it around here. Aaron and I were talking about how cool the structure really is as we drove over it. That inspired me to pull out my camera.
Today is my day to tackle all of the projects I have on my to do list. I have two days off so there is plenty of time to accomplish something!
Past Weekend
