On Days Like Today...

When I walk outside and see this:

And the temp hovers in the single digits/negative numbers...

I wonder why I moved back.

Quote of the Week

A gentleman called the store while we were really busy. I answered the phone as I always do, explaining we were all with customers and could I take a message to call him back?

He responded with his phone number and the reason why he was calling. It was a simple matter but I still couldn't get to it at that moment. I let him know that he could call 611 from his phone and they would be able to help him immediately.

He replied "I don't know the number to 611."

I Have a Bug

To go here. Or maybe on one of these.

Kara and I were researching our next trip the other night- Annette, are you coming? I've found that is the way to survive the winter- take a trip somewhere. So soon, hopefully, I'll be posting about our decision!

Time on My Hands

Aaron's been working night shift, so I've had time to play with this:

I love it! ETA: This is a machine which will cut out shapes and letters. I made the title below with it.

And Annette will be glad to know that I finally finished this:
Everytime she's come over for the past six months, that has been the unfinished page on my table.

Don't mind the photography. Someday I'll figure out the best way to show you my pages but for now, that'll do. I'm not too picky!

Snowshoeing

Aaron and I went out behind his parents house the other day. It was the first time either one of us had ever been snowshoeing. I recommend it for those of you who have never gone.

There was a lot of powder on the top of the base, so we sludged through that. Took a few spills, but really enjoyed doing this!

Resolutions

Are not something I do... Not in the traditional sense. But the start of a New Year does make me think about changes that I would like to make in my life.

So here goes,
In 2008 I would like to
- Spend more time actually listening to what people are telling me
- Spend more time talking to my family
- Write a letter or two
- Travel when I can
- Take more pictures

I love looking forward and wondering what the New Year will bring. For me it's like starting a new journal. Everytime I do that I flip through the blank pages and wonder what will be recorded in the coming months.

Let's hope that 2008 is a good year!
