Giveaway

I've been thinking about this post for awhile... I told you awhile back that I was going to do a giveaway, and I haven't done it yet.

I feel a little egotistical doing this as a giveaway. It makes me nervous. But I have this picture:

It's blown up to an 8 x 10 and framed. And the entire purpose of doing that was to give it away- I already have it on my wall as a 12 x 13. In my opinion, it's the best picture I've ever taken. And at some point in my future life, I'd like to do something with my photographs.
It's scary for me to put this out there- but if you want it, leave a comment.
I want to know what you would like to do in your "future life." Or are you one of the lucky ones to be doing it right now?
I'll pick a winner on Friday.

Well put me in for sure! I love it!!!

hm. When I grow up I'd like to be financially stable so that I could donate photo skills to people who can't afford pictures - I would really enjoy that. Or to help document the daily lives of those who struggle more than we do - for instance (and I feel weird putting this out there) I would have loved to have documented a day in Jeremy's life - to capture it, kind of like a Life photographer, yanno? But I never knew quite how to bring that up - or if anyone would ever really want that. But I'd enjoy capturing it - the emotions and the struggles, the love.

anyway. that's my ramble.

Katie I love looking at your pictures...I finally had to get an account so I could comment on your blog. Let's see my future life...I would love to be living in the U.P. and be doing what I do now...a stay at home mom.

Well I already told you I love this picture, but I do. In my future life I want to be a teacher during the school year and travel in the summers.

I would like to stay at home and sit on my butt all day long. Or atleast on days like today, when I wake up with a headache and the weather is crappy out!
I can't wait for the day to be in a permanent house. That is my dream. To live in a gorgeous house, big or small not my priority, as long as it is semi unique and I love it!

i want to one day look back and not have any regrets. I want to know my kids are all happy with the lives that they are leading, and to know we did a good job. I want to some day look back and say it was all worth it. The good and the bad. To look back abd know I loved and was loved would be one of my greatest accomplishments no matter where we end up.

LOVE the picture! In the future I want to be able to look at my beautiful daughter and know that I've been a good mom, at my husband and know that I have been a good wife. I want to make it through RN school, keep up with my photography hobby and look back at my life and be able to say "WWWhhhhooooo! What a ride!

A couple years ago, a friend sent me her Christmas card. On the outside of the envelope she wrote, "Leanne - you are living your dream life!" Just scrawled, as an afterthought after she sealed the envelope. I wish like the world that I had saved that envelope. As a reminder that I am indeed living the life I always wanted. I'm married to an amazing man and have three beautiful boys. Life's not perfect, but it's really good. When I reach for the stars, though, I think about whether or not I'm doing enough. I want to matter. I want to effect change in my kids' lives, in my community, and in my world. I want to never be still so that, God willing, I can do my part to make the world just a little bit better. :)

Wow, great picture! I'd be honored to be the one chosen to win this (I have a lot of bare walls)! :) Hmm...in my future life I'd love to have more time to pursue my hobbies. Don't get me wrong, I love being a stay-at-home mom, but it can be one of the most challenging (and rewarding!) things I've ever done. I'd love to take a sewing class and a photography class. Someday I look forward to doing these things (I love having things to look forward to!)

Well, Katie your pictures are beautiful so don't be nervous! In my future life...huh...something that i am in control of: I would love to finally be a college graduate of something:)and something I am not in control of: being a mother, I would love the experience of carrying a child and bringing it into this world and being a 'family'

Well, I missed the contest but I had to tell you that I do love that photo... it's beautiful. I think that most people are nervous to put things out there that mean a lot to them... at least I do..
Have a great weekend.
